All Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick and GMC vehicles go through many hours of testing before they start production at one of the assembly plants. Testing begins with computer generated models and goes through everything from aerodynamic wind tunnels and water leak tests to climate torture tests. Even the paint is put through testing to ensure it stands up to whatever a customer or Mother Nature will put it through.
The GM performance vehicles — such as the Chevrolet Camaro, Chevrolet Corvette, and Cadillac CTS Vsport — also receive a special level of testing as customers demand the highest level of reliability from them; especially when it comes to racing.
